Legal support to branch offices

Foreign companies conduct their business activities in Ukraine through their branch offices. A branch office is a form of organization that represents the foreign entity in Ukraine. The rights to represent a company must be properly established. Branch offices do not have the right to be engaged in commercial activity in Ukraine. However, they can promote goods and services, engage in marketing, and sometimes engage in commercial activity on behalf of the foreign company they represent.  Branch offices hold a power of attorney that determines the scope of their authority.

A branch office’s activities are financed from its head company.

There are a number of advantages of establishing a branch office:

  • Effective activity control mechanism by the head company
  • Simple procedure to employ a foreigner
  • Direct financing
