Eurojuris Int. Secretary General Visited Legal Alliance Offices on Her Trip to Ukraine
Diane Tries, Secretary General of the Europe’s leading law firms network Eurojuris Int., visited the Ukrainian capital city on July 17-19, 2008.
The principal goal of this trip of the Eurojuris Int. team was to get familiarised with the Ukrainian market of legal services and operation of legal business in Ukraine, as well as to run a number of working meetings with representatives of five national contenders for a Eurojuris network corresponding member status — Legal Allince Law Firm being one of them.
The three-day programme of Eurojuris Int. delegation’s stay in Kiev included discussions with partners of local law firms on proposed organisation of their business within the Eurojuris framework and presentations delivered by each of the firms at its offices.
In assessing the contender companies Madame Tries focused on their compliance with the criteria Eurojuris Int. network applies to its members.
Such criteria include sophistication of technology used by a company, including availability of an efficient state-of-the-art web-page, as well as compulsory knowledge of two foreign languages (including English) and professional experience with international projects. Particular requirements also apply to each company’s clientele structure.
Presentation of Legal Alliance Law Firm on 18 July concluded the series of contender presentations. As the result of it Eurojuris Int. team members expressed their desire to see Legal Alliance among the network members and recommended that the firm commenced administrative procedure to prepare for the Eurojuris Int. corresponding membership.
Legal Alliance Senior Partner Dmitri Aleshko said, “The main goal of our cooperation with Eurojuris Int. is to open an opportunity to improve efficiency of our services by allowing our clients unrestrained and rapid access to qualified legal service within any jurisdiction where a partner firm is present.
“By becoming a Eurojuris Int. corresponding member we also seek to secure guaranteed availability of qualified legal services in Ukraine for clients of our foreign partners.”
During the last day of Eurojuris Int. visit the host party made arrangements for an informal programme: the delegation members were offered a journey of Kiev’s tourist attractions during which the guests had a chance to appreciate historical and cultural sites of the Ukrainian capital.
